I do a lot of typing and, sadly, it's of the 2-finger variety.

There are certain things that open a window on their own, and when this happens I lose all my typing. For instance, MS' AntiSpyWare tool, SKYPE.

SKYPE is really bad because my typing does end up somewhere (in it's message area near the bottom of its window) but it also automatically answers when that happens! So I am typing away, SKYPE opens a window for an in-coming call, my typing continues but in its message area and the call is answered without me having my microphone/headset ready!

This morning I lost 1-2 minutes of typing when the MS AntiSpyWare started up when I was into something biggish!

Is there some way to keep my window as the active one when these kinds of things happen?... The orange highlighting in the start bar area seems to have been supplanted by a grab-the-screen mentality.

Thanks in advance
