>>I would not be so sure about the Washington defense more so than the inept Dallas offense and/or play calling. Although their run defense is very good. Usually after losses, we are disappointed. After last night's game, the emotion around here is pure anger after watching the 'boys dominate for 55 minutes, then go brain dead.

>What was Bill Parcel's reason for letting Payton call the plays this year? The Cowboys offense has become so predictable.
Predictability was/is not a problem. Remember that under Aikman, Smith and Irvin, they were predictable as well. Smith left, Smith right, Smith up the middle, Irvin down the sideline, Novacek over the middle. They were so good, they could have told the defense what was going to happen and they were not about to stop them.
The problem is receivers not running to the first down marker on 3rd and 4th down plays. Holding penalties on significant yardage-gaining plays, blown defensive coverages and letting Brunell run 25 freaking yards on a 3rd and 27 play from deep in their own terrority then letting them convert the 4th-and-2. Then letting them convert another 4th down play later in that first TD drive. I could go on-and-on, but I think you get the point.
