What I do when building a form is establish the DD first. Then, with the DD window open, drag fields from the tables onto the forms. They auto have the right size, the field caption as a label, and inherit all the props you've attributed to them in the table builder, e.g. validation, object class (e.g. your own text box class), etc.

Similarly, if you crtl-select several fields, and drag them onto the form, you'll have a ready-made grid, complete with col heads as captions.

If, on the other hand, you manually build a grid then you have to set these props yourself. but, use the grid builder wizard and this is all done for you auto.

That help?

Terry :-)
