What do you see as the differences between Evaluate and macro substitution? For a long time we have been discouraged from using macro susbtitution because of speed considerations. However, I till use them when I want to build a command in a string and execute it. EVAL() does practically the same thing without the intermediate variable. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?
