I found an article in FoxTalk that gave an example like the one I used above but the application is giving me an error message like it thinks the whole quoted argument is the name of the form, thus "file not found". Anyways, I've tried several ways to to concatinate the two into one and can't seem to get the app to like it.

Can you put some code from this method here? According to this description it is not supposed to execute form with parameters at all. You may need to use different method to run your form.

Search this method for either do form command or createobject command. Are your forms scx (forms) based or class based?
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
