How did you modify your existing local views to point to the sql data? Don't you have to use remote views? If there is a way to just modify them that will take out a big chunk of time and will make me very happy =) Also is there any easy way to find where out where the dynamic sql queries are other than run the program and if it crashes you've found one, seeing as usually dynamic queries are in some obscure combobox in the bowels of this giant application.
Also we plan to use just remote views not stored procedures are there any optimization fallacies in taking this approach?
When you say convert VFP views to SQL views do you mean remote views or actual SQL views? If it is actual SQL views what benefit is this to you and how do you access it through VFP?
Sorry for the numerous amount of questions but you seem like a learned man in this area with past experience in doing this great undertaking without any snags.
Thank you
