I did not delve into the guts of ComCode Book. So I assume that is going on as part of their code. If I can recall they just asked what database we would be dealing with. For this application it was a VFP database. So I imagine that it is using a default connection which may be ODBC. It is working fine on the web server using VFP7 and a VFP database. I am trying to run some tests using VFP9 for a future conversion.
>Why are you using ODBC? Is there a reason you can't use OLE DB directly?

>>I am testing VFP 9 on a stand alone machine. I moved a Flash Com Code Book application to the standalone machine. I recompiled all DLL's on the stand alone machine. I then tested a small Object to see if I can get the COM's to open the database and to a very simple search.

>>The Object was created ok, but when I tried to have it create a Record Set for searching I get the error:

>>OLE IDispatch exception Code 1429 from Users error: 1429 Line: 1367 UserDataSource:: OpenConnectionObject() OLE IDispatch exception Code 0 from Microsoft OLEDB Provider for ODBC Drivers: [Microsoft] [Odbc Driver Manager] driver does not support this function....

>>Did I forget to install something on the standalone computer? Did VFP9 drop some support that VFP7 had? Will Flash's COMCodeBook work with VFP9? Any help would be appreciated.
