Hay is just a small town on a river called the Wye. Main (and probably only) claim to fame is that it is has more bookshops (and books) than any other town in the world. At last count there were, I think, 27 miles of book shelves. Oddly enough when looking on Amazon the other day for some computing related books many of the cheapest ones on offer turned out to be right here!

I must also be one of the few people who's snail mail address is shorter than my email address: mail addressed as below gets delivered without fail. Maybe, at 8 characters total, it's even the shortest snail main address in the world :-)
