Used to happen to me all the time in VFP6 SP5. While building the exe, it would go into an endless loop of some sort (100 % CPU). I would have to kill VFP. Didn't do it all of the time, just often enough to be an annoyance. The only way to resolve it was to Build the App with Recompile all files checked. That always ran successfully. Then I would able to compile the exe. Since the work-around was pretty painless, never did resolve what the issue really was.
