We don't have pets anymore, but Gary has been in the habit of making the bed (or at least covering it up with the quilt/comforter, whatever you want to call it) for so many years of pet-ownership, that it's just habit with him. I tend to leave it unmade most of the time (and no, it doesn't drive him crazy ... he'll make it if I don't ... and without complaining!!! <g>).
