How do you come up with your "flat" fee? When I come up with a "flat" fee I usually estimate the number of hours it will take me (add in some extra hours if I am using existing widgets) multiplying this number you my hourly rate and dividing by a number a little less than one (i.e. round up to a nice number)
It all comes down to how much you (think you) are worth per hour <bg>
