Crap, Tom, you've drawn me into this political morass again. One of the reason I took a break months back was because I didn't want have to deal with this stuff. Sigh...

OK, here's the deal. The United States of America is most decidedly not a Christian society.

A lot of folks would like to think it is, but they're wrong.

This country came into being to allow whatever belief you had. A lot of the "so-called Christian Right" don't want to acknowledge that.

What they try to do is inject Christian principles into the government. While I believe that government should be tempered by these, I don't believe that it should be enforced on the citizenry.
