In this case, this is a calendar year. And my business logic calls for the first week to be the full week (starting on Monday).
Also, what is important here, is the solution has to fit into the existing UI (which has been in the application for almost 20 years). That is, the labels with the Week Number captions have been on this screen/window for a long time. But the downside was that the user had to click some other buttons to find out what calendar week corresponds to this or that week number. Yesterday I thought that it would be a simple idea to add a WAIT message on the MOUSE UP event to show that date. And it works very fast, so my question regarding the most efficient function was probably more academic than practical.
Now I need to figure out how to show the WAIT message next to the "clicked" label. Otherwise, the WAIT message is too far to the right from where I would like it to be.
