It seems as though I need to have the table opened exclusively, is that correct? And if that is the case, it may not be a reasonable work around for the multi-user environment that I am working with. If some one is in the application that are 90% likely to have that file open. It would seem that we would have to make sure everyone was out of the system before recreating the index.
