>Well, which is worse, that, or coming up with a great idea, writing it on your own time, then having the company you work for take you to court to own and sell it since you were a salaried employee and now that you have a seller, they believe that all of your programming belongs to them?????

Did this happen to you or someone you know? I can't imagine... What you do in your free time is up to you. The only thing to take care of is not to use routines of your employer. That restriction does not apply to methods and techniques. You are free to use the same methods and techniques as you use at work. (With 'methods' I'm not referring to methods in objects.) And you're also free to use routines that you took over from here, even if they are also used by your employer.
