I have a strange corruption that keeps happening.

A parameter file that has one record and multiple numeric fields, keeps having the first part of the record corruped! The tabke has about 30 fields and the first dozen or so get replaced with control characters and goobledygook.

I've seen the normal DBF corruptions and corrupted records. But since no records are ever added or deleted from this table, and the client insists machine has not shutdown in anyway, I can't see how this can happen.

It's now happend 3 times in two weeks to the same client on a brand new XP machine.

Any ideas?

Gary.
