Well, gd&r means Grinning, Ducking, & Running. It basically signifies that something was said/written in sarcasm. I was simply making fun of the "Fox is Dead" crowd that would answer your question in that manner in all seriousness.

As to your question, I didn't make anything up, nor have I heard/read anything about it. I didn't state anything other than the "Fox is Dead" comment and that was (clearly, I thought) tongue in cheek.
