A client of mine has some very large tables. Periodically, he wants them PACKed, REINDEXed or COPY TO'd. Currently, I do the hokey SET TALK TO WINDOW but he wants a progress bar (which would make more sense anyway).

However, I haven't been able to find a way to create a progress bar because I don't know how to retrieve VFP's current state. Or, put another way, if I SET ODOMETER TO 1000, how can I get the updates? Is there a magic BINDEVENT() event I can tap into?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
