One is that I never liked to use RETRY, and the second, far more important and embarrasing, is that I am never happy with the way I handle the errors, usually I decide in a case by case analisys instead of a standard approach for all programs. Hugo,
Don't worry yourself.
Of the whole programming art,
the management of the errors is the thing most difficult.
A basic requisite is that something functions,
and it is necessary to know what it works;
it is for this that I am so severe with those of the team.
I have succeeded in building a global universal error handling in VFP,
but believe me, I have had to force a lot the incoherent scheme of VFP
error handling.
I can now launch a program that produces errors, wherever
without problems, and the program work where it can.
