>>>Hot Dog was too different for me. I didn't care for it although it got a lot of air time around here. On the contrary, Hey Hey What Can I Do and Tangerine, are two of my favorites but hardly heard on the radio.

>>While I was in Charlottesville, the local radio WWWV (aka 6uV) had a total of one Zeppelin song (live version of Tangerine) and one Elton John (Benny and the Jets). Haven't played Tangerine since, had enough.
>>
>>And most of the classic rock radio sucks for exactly that reason - they always play the same songs. It's almost like an axiom. Just like any Beatles retrospective on a radio never reaches Sgt Pepper.

>Here in Western Washington state, a classic rock station (KZOK) plays, every day, at noon, an hour of Led Zeppelin. The show is called "Lunch with Led".

A radio station in Toronto (Q107) used to do something similar. Not sure its still done these days. They used to say it was time to "Get the Led Out". On Sundays, they do a 9am to 9pm (I think) program called "Psychedelic Sundays". Just about every group/artist mentioned in this thread gets airtime.
