>I and friends have laughed at the quaint, euphomistic US expression of restroom for a toilet (we call it the loo or the bog, but never restroom). "oh, I've got to go - I'm dying for a good stiff rest" or "I had a right runny rest last night" or "I've rested down my trouser leg" :-)

My family and I were pretty amused to encounter a public toilet in England proudly displaying their "loo of the year" award.
