Coding, syntax & commands
Hi Gerard,
I had the exact need, a jewelry business that wanted bar codes on labels small enough to attach to rings etc. I ended up using Bar Code 2/5 Interleaved. It was the only one that would print small enough. I used a 6 digit code. I purchased the font from Elfring Fonts and they were very helpful in choosing the correct font for the application.
The printer is a Zebra barcode/label printer and they had small labels that you fold over a ring thus making a tag. On one side I print the product code and price, on the other I print the barcode.
Hope this helps,
Ken

>As of now, it looks like EAN 13 is what will be required, but to print on a very small label (To be attached to a ring you see in Jewellers shops.)

>My preference would be to us a font that can print either very small labels (for Jewelery) or standard size. onto a printer that has a Roll type mecahanism, or maybe on sprockets (is dot matrix the only type of printer that runs on sprockets)
