I went to a training seminar with Jessie Liberty (he has written several books). It was a C# training session and he talked briefly about why people should choose C# over VB.NET and potential salary was one of the main reasons to choose C#.
For me it was a simple choice to choose C# over VB.NET, because I came from VFP and VFP'ers dislike VB a lot so just slappingthe .NET behind VB did not make it any more appealing <s>
I didn't think the earning potential for someone choosing C# would be about 75% more than someone choosing VB.NET, but I guess it is inline with the difference in pay between a C++ developer and a VB6 developer.
