I haven't checked for the exact value in the .enabled property of it, since this behavior suited me. Maybe it just reacts the same if there's a .null. value as well, which is wrong, IMO.

I agree. See my message (#104423) regarding this in a little more detail. This is a serious problem that I will have to come up with a work-around for in 6.0, which I shouldn't have to.
