This bug was reported to VFPT but is not got fixed in VFP9-SP1. The reasons that I have though about are:

1) This bug does not deserve a high priority for a fix
However I tend not to believe this is the real reason because the bug affects a huge number of VFP9 programs to be run under DBCS Windows in Asia countries (China, Japan, Korea,...).

2) The bug can't be reproduced in an English Windows
I believe this is the real reason. The VFPT can't reproduce the problem in their computer and didn't think this is a bug. That is why I made a short flash movie in the URL below so that everybody can clearly see what happens on the screen:

Developers in USA and Canada may think that this bug has no connection with their programs. However, some day when their all English programs are sold to an Asia country, the developers will unexpectedly get complaints and dissatisfaction since the ugly screens make the programs unprofessional.

The same program behaves differently in English and Chinese Windows makes a workaround difficult to be formulated. Both my clients and your clients may run our applications under either English or DBCS without informing us. A workaround for DBCS Windows may destroy the professional image of the program in English Windows.
