I've never seen them whilst driving in Canada or New ENgland. Maybe different states have them,like NC? Ai caramba! that an horrific story. I guess we don't have that problem here as snow ploughs are so infrequently used and I guess the winters, being less harsh, don't crack up the tarmac in the same way. It's interesting that tou have them cos, as I started this branch, I thought we only had them in the UK. Hell of a useful though.
