Yes, there is a lot of emotion at the end of my review, due entirely to his attitude. With only six more years to go before I classify as an antique, I know better than to assume my knowledge is complete. But one thing I know for a fact: there are no absolutes in software development. Some techniques are appropriate in one situation, and not in others.
Celko presented his opinions as if they were absolutely correct, and anyone that disagreed with him is an idiot. And that - IMHO - is inexcusible behaviour in a presenter.
