Terry;

When you (the user) click on the A link you will get a dialogue box which will ask you to Save, etc. Then you choose the folder.

For kicks here is my flamenco guitar web site. You can download all kinds of flamenco related items.

>>>Hello,
>>>I need to insert a link on a HTMP page that will download an evaluation prohram to the user's desktop.
>>>
>>>My Web site vendor does not have an "anonymous" ftp feature so I could do something like this:
>>>
<HREF ftp://www.myserserver.com/mydownload.exe>
>>>
>>>Microsoft offered something that seemed helpful because it included a user and password:
>>>
ftp://myName:MyPassWord/MyServer.com
>>>
>>>I liked that one - but do not know if it will work (and it does not have a download file "space")
>>>
>>>HOWEVER, my website does include ASP ,gdforms.asp/ gdforms.php, (whatever those are). and I saw some asp script that seemed to fit the bill.
>>>
>>>The script could be imbedded in html and had functs like "aspGemMyFile", etc.
>>>
>>>Could some share some script or a link to some script samples that I could use to allow users to download a SETUP.EXE from my "private"Web Site. If ASP is required, no problem.
>>>
>>>Thanks
