Hi all

I have 2 copy of the same application in 2 different folders. The app uses FireBird as the back-end so there are 2 places where the data folder pathname details are stored. One is the ODBC connection and second the aliases.conf in the FireBird folder.

Start one, then the other and the pathnames are replace even when both the apps are running.

If there is a way to generate a constant (short) code for the folder of the data pathname, I intend to append this code to the current project identifying ODBC as well as the alias names.

Please advise.
