Well, of course! :o) In reality, North Carolina does indeed have bobcats, but they are pretty much few and far between. They are seldom seen. I have a lot of small wildlife in the woods near my house and also a running stream about 200' away which is probably what attracted the bobcat in the first place.

>>I once had a bobcat in my backyard. It was hollering so loud it kept me and my neighbors up all hours. One of my neighbors tried to scare it off with a shotgun. We were concerned that its behavior was very strange and at the time my daughter was about 6 years old and they had a son 2 years younger. We ended up calling animal control who came, saw the bobcat, and informed me that if we could catch it then they would take it away. I was amazed. I wondered what I was calling them for then? I went into work the next day, told the story, and was told by the majority of my co-workers that we don't have bobcats in North Carolina! I informed then all that someone better tell the bobcat that then!
