I don't know for sure that it is fixed in 2.0, cuz I haven't had time to install 2.0 beta yet, but I would imagine that someone else has noticed this.
Yeah the dot would be a good candidate for a nearly invisible character.
Could you change the column header's text property to exclude the dot if that column us the column that is sorted and then put the dot back in if a different column is sorted?
