I have told you many times... we do heavy data munging in our vfp app and fox is great at that; however, we are testing the same type of munging on .net and have yet to see a real difference in speed of efficiency. I can tell you we haven't hit the processes with 100k's of records yet, but the preliminary tests look good. It simply a matter of changing how you do something. Instead of thinking like a vfp programmer using .net, you must think like a .net programmer using .net. Luckily, we have a few experts at our beck and call.

>That's the trouble. The above isn't always true. I've spent a decade working on a particular effort that munges simply vast amounts of data, most of which is static. We experimented with server-side work, with ADO.NET and all the rest of it ... VFP still reigns supreme for heavy munging.
