Possibly I am applying your advice correctly.

I entered the line DOEVENTS at the beginning of my method code, but when I run it, I still get an hour glass that makes it impossible to click on the mouse. I read the help file on DOEVENTS and it really says nothing. (Microsoft continues with help files with no examples because they can't be bothered.*)

There is some reference to parenthesis in the help file. Is there something else I should add to this line of code?

* I sent a note to Microsoft about the lack of examples in their Help Files about a year ago. Well yesterday I got a reply with an answer to the question but no comment about whether they would add examples to future upgrades. I don't know if VFP 9.0 is any better.
