>Hi. I hired a new employee, but I don't have a place to plug in his network cable. Is it OK if I put a router at one of my network wall jacks?

A hub or switch would be sufficient, to extend the number of connections. A router should work, too.

Usually a direct connection from a router to a PC requires a different cabling (crossover instead of direct).
