I have been playing around with the trim mode and so far Trim to Nearest Character returns the best results. However, I would like to mimic Adobe Acrobat's function of adjusting the font size to shrink to fit the data in the report field. Is there anyway to do that in VFP9? If not, it should be a enhancement request. Also, what exactly is Default Trimming in VFP9 and how does it differ from the other trim options? Our problem is a number (in character format) that must display in all reports and it is typically a column in a multi-column report. The field can contain a combination of characters and numbers up to 25 chars long. Knowing how long to make the field is quite difficult without using a non-proportional spaced font. The field was 14 chars originally and new standards require us to allow for 25 chars so I am having to modify hundreds of pre-existing reports to accommodate the longer field. This is difficult to do with some of our existing reports that already were tight fitting in portrait orientation.
