Here is what happened, I gave the customer the installation for MDAC26SP1
unfortunately they could not install it on thier machine because there was some other application using the same DLL's that the MDAC25SP1 installation wanted to install.

I didn't have time to investigate this problem further so I modified the application to use DAO 3.6 instead of ADO.
