The APP that contains the reports was compiled with VFP8. We are running the app from an exe compiled in 9. We have installed the beta VFP9 sp1.

There is a known problem with VFP9 opening reports that have embedded printer environment information. In some cases, VFP tries to find the printer on the network.

Is it possible for you to verify that the reports in the VFP8 app do/do not have printer environment info? If you can, strip out the printer environment from the reports. Recompiling under 9.0 probably wouldn't hurt...
