In VFP 6 after I USE (open) a table and do an FLOCK() I can still USE the table at another PC.

In VFP 9 I can't USE a table from PC 2 after I FLOCK() it at PC 1.

I tried USE table SHARED but it made no difference. If the table is open on both PCs I can FLOCK() it from PC 1 and it behaves normally at PC 2. That is I can't do any locks but I can view it.
What am I missing?

TIA
