Have you perhaps gotten the Accessibility options turned on to ignore the font choice of the page? Tools/ Internet Options/General Page/Accessibility button

You might also make sure that your HOSTS file (C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS) is not setup with some entries to redirect the relevant URLs to 127.0.0.1 or to any other IP address for that matter. I know that some virii have started putting redirect garbage into the hosts file.
