I've been doing a lot more HTML lately, with Foxweb. I didn't want to post this in that forum because it's not just about Foxweb, plus, I don't think hardly anyone reads that one. Coming from a somewhat structured coding environment, I'm finding the lack of formatting in HTML very difficult. I've tried different editors, etc, but the problems come up when the Fox code is mixed with the HTML tags. Foxpro does great at Beautifying it's own code, but treats all the HTML as just text. The HTML editors do a barely acceptable job formatting the HTML, but have no idea what to do with the Fox code.

Addressing just the HTML for a minute, why in almost every editor I've tried, using the Tab key will move the line the correct number of spaces, but then it seems like it's totally arbitrary when I backspace from the front of the line, whether it will backup up the tab amount - what I would expect - or one space - whassup with that? Are there no really good editors that handle indented blocks of code well? How does anyone read this stuff? I find it almost impossible to debug anything.

Foxweb is a really great tool, but it has absolutely no good formatting tools available. That I could find anyway. I would like to use the equivalent of Beautify and have it work on the Fox code and the HTML code together.

I'm using HTML-Kit right now because it offers the best mix of what I like, but there has got to be another way...
