If I have deleted set to "off" and delete a record that is in "row buffering" mode and do not move the record pointer or call "tableupdate", and then close the table the deletion takes even though no posting has occured. In other words, the deletion remains in effect even though the table was not updated. If I am in table buffering mode and go thru the same process, the deletion is discarded if no "tableupdate" is called.
Can someone explain why deletion acts differently in table and row buffering modes? Incidently, if I change a value when in row buffering, then delete the record, and close the table without updating , the deletion takes but the data change does not.
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
