you can set the min/max in system properties->advanced->performance variables. as far as i know win doesn't release this by default just takes more, unless you run out of disk space that it. also you can increase the performance on your computer if you put the pagefile on a seperate physical drive to windows folder

>As i work during the day I notice that Page file use creeps up and up. Closing apps doesn't seem to release much. Any ideas what controls this. And is it a problem.
