All I'm saying is that even a relatively fast WAN (e.g., T1) is still much slower than an average LAN (10 base-T). T1 is about 1.5MB/sec. ethernet is 10 or 100MB/sec. For a WAN, anything faster then T1 will probably be prohibitively expensive (T1 isn't cheap). If you can't get acceptable performance from a VFP app over T1 (this depends on your app and what you consider acceptable), you should probably consider client/server.
