Kevin,
>>(Shaking head in astonishment)....why ELSE would someone make sure they have plenty of options?
I've no idea, because that's not how effective people behave. I say again: versatility does not mean building up a large portfolio of options in the erronious belief that "he with the most options wins". Versatility means developing a broad range of skills. If your quote was "he with the most skills wins" I would have responded differently.
>> John, does EVERYTHING with you involve discussing things in a vacuum???? aaaarrrrghhhhh!!!!!!!!!
If you come back to planet earth, you'll escape the vacuum.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
