Just because the server side isn't VFP, doesn't mean it doesn't have a use.

How much reporting is done? If it's heavy, a good deal of server load can be eliminated by simply bringing the base result set client side and working on that rather than the SQL table.

Also, it's much easier to bind the data to the controls, create validation (through masks) that require no code.
