So, tell me, as you state:

Can you tell me, where the table you refer to is located.
Is the table located on Disk? If so how do you state that referring to a bitmap stored on disk is disk access but referring to a field on a table stored on Disk is not disk access?

Looks like you do have disk access.
Even if you fool yourself into thinking that disk access means a bitmap file but accessing the same bitmap stored in another FILE is not diskaccess.
