Maintenance bases de données
Hi,
Not 100% sure on this but when you create a database you can allocate the amount of space it takes up. So for example database A may have been allocated 1000MB with a 10% growth which means it allocates 1000MB straight off and then whenever it gets near that limit it automatically grows, so even with no records in, it would still show up as 1000MB. With Database B it may have been initally allocated more space than Database A.
Check out the properties through Enterprise Manager if you can also check out DBCC SHRINKFILE or DBCC SHRINKDATABASE in BOL (I never remember which is the right one).
