Perhaps he has (my own terms) dwelt upon the incompetence of VFP developers, lack of opportunity and hopelessness of the VFP group, to see that his is the word! :) I've never challenged the competency of anyone's VFP skills.
My biggest criticism of individuals has been targeted at those who feel they "know" some things about .NET from little more than reading, and selective/questionable "appeals to authority".
Lack of practical experience with .NET (or any new major technology) makes it difficult to process information about the subject - and leads to repeated erroneous conclusions.
