I have a button with THISFORM.TargetShape.Refresh() in a click event. It does not clear the preview area when I click it.

Hmm. Admittedly without looking at your code I have no idea what could be going on. I'm pretty sure that calling .Refesh() on a shape redraws it. Is it .Visible=.T.? It doesn't have to be in order to function as a target for outputPage().
