Yes, the debate about SP rages on and on. Here is my PERSONAL take on stored procedures:
Not using them ties you to ONE programming language/platform, to ONE compiler,and some times to ONE version without major revisions. We see plenty of reasons for using stored procedures as the debates raging all over UT show. Thus not using them a monolith makes. And I want my data as far removed from those crazies ;) I want my data repository to be able to stand on its own two feet, and on paralell projects based on the same data repository/storage center I want a clear standard on inserts, updates, deletes, DRI, etc.
